The Genius of Art Forgery

An introduction to art forgery, art forgers and the motives behind the crime. I start by looking at what we mean by forgery and how it is distinguished from copying. I examine forged and copied works in major museums, the mixed motives of forgers and some famous forgers. I end by considering scientific analysis and how it can be used to detect forgery.
