ALTA MUSEUM - WORLD HERITAGE ROCK ART CENTRE

WELCOME TO ALTA MUSEUM! The rock art in Alta is one of seven listings on the UNESCO World Heritage List in Norway. The museum park is, in the snow free period, facilitated with walkways to access the up to 7000-year-old rock art in Hjemmeluft. The museum is open all year and offers exhibitions on themes such as Rock art, Sami Religion, Northern Lights, the slate industry, Alta River and Alta history in general. Temporary exhibitions during the year. The museum has a café and a gift shop. G
