GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Senators () | Carter and DeSmith Lead the Way

After not being in the lineup the last time the Penguins and Senators met, Ottawa goaltender Matt Murray would finally make his first start against the team with which he won two Stanley Cup championships. The game-winning goal of the contest came from a one-timer by Jeff Carter. The pass from Letang was perfectly placed, not too fast, not too slow... And Carter got every ounce of it. Jeff Carter went top shelf against the former Penguins netminder with a beautifully-placed shot. This would stand as the only goal of the game until Bryan Rust buried the puck into Ottawa’s empty net in the dying seconds of the game. Rust now has goals in four consecutive games.
