Crepe Paper Rose - Making a Rose Without a Bulb

Rose Template Available Here: How to make a crepe paper rose without a rose bulb core. This method uses the natural stretch properties of the crepe paper to achieve the final rose shape. For this rose I’ve used an 18g Hamilton paper covered wire and cream 180g crepe paper from Cartotecnicarossi which I’ve stretched by 25%, but you could also use 60g or doublette crepe paper straight off the roll. I’ve used my florist rose template available on Etsy. The strip of outstretched crepe paper which forms the platform for the rose head measures 1cm x 38cm. Once wrapped around the top of the wire it should measure approximately long and at its widest point. I’m using an EVA water-based Glue used for bookbinding, but tacky glue will also work.
