Hiking

Breathtaking hike to the summit of La Para with a magnificent outlook over the Les Diablerets massif and the Swiss Alps and even further to the Mont Blanc. We started our hike at Lac Retaud rest area near Ormont Dessous and Les Diablerets. Early morning we had an amazing reflection of the entire Les Diablerets mountain massif in the water of Lac Retaud. We then followed the mountain trail along the base of mount La Palette until we reached the alp Buvette de la Marnèche. After a short walk on the road we reached the alp Isenau. Soon after the trail to La Para diverts from the road and traverses a very steep mountain flank before we reached the alp Arpille. We left the alpine cabin behind and continued to climb upwards to the summit of La Para. On the way we had to cross several snowfields until we reached the ridge to the summit. After this final ascent we finally stood on the top of mount La Para. The view was truly breathtaking in all directions. From the Jura mountain range in the west to the foothills of
