Join the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy and Backlot Cinema on a section hike of the Bartram Trail through Georgia and North Carolina. Explore the beauty of southern Appalachia as we follow William Bartram’s footsteps. Delving into Bartram’s love of nature and ecology, we will learn about plants and animals, as well as the traditions and culture of the native Cherokee people, which Bartram encountered on his travels here in 1775. We will talk to new hikers to learn what inspired them to start hiking, and we will learn about conservation and how to protect and care for the trail as you hike.
