The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy (NES, Red/Aladdin version) speedrun in 43:25

Played on a real console (AV Famicom, Everdrive N8). No cheats used, but some glitches were abused (eg. partial invincibility). No deaths. I’ve chosen the Red/Aladdin version since I’m the most familiar with it, and I think it’s the most fun. The run was kind of ruined at the end, because the backward walking thing didn’t want to wear off in the Zaks’ castle... I think I lost almost a minute there. Other than that, I think it’s the best I can do. This run is a result of just a few days of training, so there’s a lot of room for improvement for sure. The route is something I came up on my own, and I reckon it could be optimised further. Sub 40 minute run seems possible. Note that this route does not apply to other revisions of the game. The Blue version has completely different item layout (among other changes), and in the European Red version you cannot get the aqualung early - the island was moved! Watch live at
