Moving quickly and quietly - Army trials reconnaissance E-Bikes

The 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment (Queensland Mounted Infantry) trialled new Stealth Reconnaissance E-Bikes in conjunction with the Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle. The electric bike allows reconnaissance soldiers to move quickly and quietly throughout the battlefield, covering large distances to gather vital information. The battery-powered motor enables the E-Bikes to travel at up to 90kmph, with a range of 100 kilometres. Soldiers can travel further in a shorter time frame, with less noise and dust created by traditional motorcycles, avoiding detection by enemy forces. More here: • Want even more videos like this?
