Roberto Cavalli Runway Show - Milan Fashion Week Spring 2012 MFW | FashionTV - FTV

MILAN - There’s Milan Fashion Week--and then there’s Roberto Cavalli. Just when you thought he would go back to his signature python print, leopard pattern, leathery rock meets animal vibe, the Italian designer does something completely different and out of the box that had tongues wagging. Yet, it still reigned true to the trends of the season and threw in a few of its own. Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer 2012 show was the first time FashionTV saw gold on the runways at Milan and it was played up against all the booming color making it as giant as pop art has become to the SS 2012 season. Gold sequins were played up on drop-waist skirts and pleated on hemlines. There were rainbow prints and floral motifs. And yes, he did revert back to some of his signature ways--there was some snakeskin and also some cheetah, but alas, it was enveloped up in the glorious style madness of this season’s sensational show. Appearances: Natasha Poly, Bianca Balti, Isabeli F
