This is one of Turlough O’Carolan’s most well-known pieces. Orkney tuning makes it more accessible and offers many fun arpeggio opportunities that mimic the harp, sort of. My friend and music partner, Robin Bullock, plays a lovely version of this tune in “Werewolf Tuning“, CGDGAD, one string different from Orkney.
