William Byrd: Callino Casturame (Arr. for 2 Mandolins)
A lot of stereo going on, headphones recommended!
This is a Renaissance piece composed by William Byrd (1539/40—1623) for keyboard. A while ago I arranged this piece for two mandolins: basically, each mandolin plays one hand of the original keyboard score (obviously, the left hand is transposed up an octave for it to be possible to play on a treble instrument). I just love how the voices intersect and intertwine with each other! So here’s me playing both parts!
Let me know if you need sheet music for this
