Most notably, the notion of a “dictatorship of the bourgeoisie“ is misleading and cannot account for the fact that the ruling class need not “rule“ the government (directly or indirectly) in order to still “rule“ society. 3) To explain how the working class are systemically excluded from institutional power and from changing the state and its legal code, the code that enables the reproduction of capitalism.
