American Joseph Stephen Rose moved to Russia with his wife and five children eight days before the conflict in Ukraine started. Despite all threats and warnings from the American embassy in Moscow, he decided to stay. Joe says he loves it here. He created the ‘EXPAT American’ YouTube channel, where he talks to an English-speaking audience about his life in our country. And with great success. The channel has more than 60,000 subscribers and has everything that could be of interest to foreigners, from an overview of the food delivery market to the Black Sea resorts. And whatever you take, everything is, if not better than in the US, at least on the same level.
Before he moved, Joseph Stephen Rose had been in the childcare business for more than 20 years. But he considers that time wasted. Shortly before coming to Moscow, he studied directing at the New York Film Academy and even managed to work briefly in Hollywood. According to Joseph Rose, he has found his place in life with the advent of the YouTube channel: “The audience is growing by leaps and bounds as more and more Americans want to move to Russia. The main reason is the traditional family values that our country so zealously and actively defends”.
