Iris van Herpen’s Earthrise collection embodies the “interconnectedness of earth“

The cyclical processes of planet earth informed fashion designer Iris van Herpen’s latest collection, which includes dresses made from recycled Parley for the Ocean plastic fabrics. The Amsterdam-based designer drew on the “indescribable beauty“ of planet earth for Earthrise, a collection of 19 looks shown during Paris Haute Couture Week 2021. “Earthrise is an image of our planet without national borders, without hierarchies, without even a right side up,“ the designer told Dezeen.
