2009 Suzuki SX4 DIY Oil Change

It was time for our 2009 Suzuki SX4 to get its oil changed. Before starting I went to the local auto parts store for a filter and oil. The owner’s manual says an oil and filter change requires 4.7 quarts, so I bought five quarts of the recommended 5w30. I added four initially, ran the motor to circulate the new oil, then checked the dipstick. I needed to add just over a half-quart to bring the level up to the full mark. The oil filter sits very close to the catalytic converter on this car, so you can’t do t
