Victor Santana & Emilia Lomakova play Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 Aria by H. Villa-Lobos as part of our Siccas Media program (). Find your dream classical guitar on and check out to sell your guitar 😊 The Aria of Bachianas n5 has a special place among the works of Heitor Villa-Lobos. It’s his most worldwide known piece, written originally for 8 cellos and soprano. Lobos made himself an arrangement for guitar and voice, very well known and played, where he is making his own choices to keep and take out musical elements of the original version. While playing Villa-Lobos’ arrangement for guitar and voice, i always missed to hear more of voices that are present in the original. So, in this arrangement I came to the possibility where most of the musical material of the original is preserved and played on one guitar and cello. I am thankful to my friend and cellist Emília, to the audio and video producers Roman and Kim, and to Jouyan and Siccas for making this idea reaching out you all.
