In 1935, some midwest business owners partnered with a Mongolian friend to take office training films they found in a dumpster -- and re-cut them as Hollywood monster movies that they would then translate and send to Mongolia. To work around the obvious irrelevant subject matter, they would claim that the monster was invisible! So in 1936, a local office safety film from K. Williams Plumbing & Sewage... became “The Unseen Monster of America!” We captioned it back to English so you can see the scam they tried to pull.
