New innovation in pediatric epilepsy treatment: the first robotic stereotactic EEG on Long Island
Learn how Cohen Children’s Medical Center is treating 13 year-old, Louis Clappi’s epilepsy. By using new technology, ROSA, the Cohen Children’s neurosciences team is able to precisely target suspected areas of seizure activity through small incisions, without opening the brain. The new robot helps to identify where Louis’ seizures are coming from so the team at Cohen Children’s can determine his treatment plan and ultimately, get Louis back to a seizure-free childhood.
