LIVE: German Parliament holds debate on Russian, Western politics

The German Bundestag debates a motion titled ’Countering Russia’s politics with the unity of the West,’ put forward by the CDU/CSU fraction of the German parliament, on Thursday, February 17, in Berlin. During the one hour allocated for the debate, the motion put forward by the Parliamentary majority of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party regarding security in Europe will be considered, as well as Die Linke’s motion proposing to block Bundeswehr deployment to Lithuania to promote de-escalation.
