Roy Hargrove - “Strasbourg/St. Denis“ | David Cottle Choreography

Just having fun with some great music! Not too many people know but I grew up in a musical family, playing drums. We would always jam together in my Dad’s studio, and as a kid I’d often listen to and play jazz/swing/funk so with this piece I wanted to connect my knowledge of music with my dance, exploring rhythm and textures/instrumentation. Thank you to everyone who came and created such a great environment in the studio, YOU guys did that! ??? It was definitely a challenging piece but to me that’s what class is about.
