A rare look at a late 18th century friesian chaise

Famous because of the use together with a friesian horse these days, the number of high quality friesian chaises in original condition are not that big. This very special example, has the bended panels fully painted over with dutch landscapes, execptional ironwork and woodcarvings. The springs are a late 19th century addition, but they could be removed. The body of a chaise could als be put on a sleigh undercarriage. Many sleighs survived without their wheeled undercarriage
