The song Ikanaide, also known as “Do Not Leave“ and “Late Autumn/Autumn Strong“, was born in 1989 from the collaborative works of Kōji Tamaki (Renowned Japanese singer-songwriter, actor, and lead singer of the 1980’s band, “Anzen-Chitai“) and Goro Matsui (one of the band members). In the same year the song was composed, it was used as title song for a Chinese-Japanese TV series Farewell, Lixianglan.
The TV drama told the story of a Japanese woman, Yoshiko Yamaguchi, born in China in 1920. Hiding her Japanese identity, she rose to stardom in China, mostly taking parts in propaganda movies representing China. At the end of WWII, Yoshiko was arrested for treason and collaboration with the Japanese and was sentenced to death.
