The Boom Box Parade 2018

The WILI Boom Box Parade has been an annual tradition of the Willimantic, Connecticut, community for over thirty years. Held every Fourth of July, the parade includes anyone from the community who chooses to march, as long as they are wearing red, white, and blue. Spectators bring boom boxes and tune them all to the local AM radio station, creating the town’s own makeshift marching band. The Child and Family Development Resource Center holds its own version of the parade every year. Much like the tradition
