Birth Control Rebirth 1973 Germany, Krautrock, Heavy Prog

Birth Control - Rebirth 1973 (Germany, Krautrock, Heavy Prog) After the release of the album Hoodoo Man, the band had ambitions to enter the world stage. And before their large-scale tour CBS Records tried to make the composition commercially attractive. The consequence was a series of personnel reshuffles, which resulted in the departure of one of the founders of the group Bernd Koschmidder and Wolfgang Neuser, and guitarist Dirk Steffens (why?), Keyboardist Zeus Held and bassist Peter Foeller. The main problem was that Foller also sang, thus, beginning to “take away“ a part of the vocal parts from the drummer “Nossi“ Noske. The background of the case, apparently, was in concert performances. In the studio, Noske successfully combined the positions of the drummer and vocalist, but on the stage it was physically difficult, which made the performances mostly instrumental “improvisations on the topic.“ And in CBS they wanted enchanting concerts ... But Rebirth was weaker than its predecessor. More precisely, he was different. You can not change half of the composition without a trace. When a “copper section“ appears in the group, sooner or later it completely clogs the guitars, which already in the group were not in the first roles. And then saves only one thing - the group must start playing jazz-rock. Where the pipe and the drum are measured by force. It was lucky for them that Held was a keyboardist, a trumpet player, or even a piano would have to be abandoned ... Tracks: 01. She’s Got Nothing On You (Bruno Frenzel) - 0:00 02.
