Eric Alexander plays a fiery solo over Charlie Parker’s blues “Relaxin’ at Camarillo“, accompanied by Steve Einerson (p.), Dmitri Kolesnik (b.) and Gerry Gibbs (dr.). Bird wrote this tune shortly after he was released from California’s Camarillo State Hospital, a mental hospital where Parker was committed in 1947. For more info:
