#damnation20 part 7: WEAKNESS. The creak of a chair. The clink of a glass. Martin Lopez’s snare coils rattling. This is the near-total silence this 100-person crowd gave Opeth for their first European performance of Weakness. Taken from Opeth’s performance at Pustervik in Gothenburg, Sweden, on September 22nd 2003. This was a “dry run“ for their upcoming show in London that would be filmed and later released as Lamentations. This was one of only ~25 times that Weakness would be played live - all between July and October 2003. Shoutout to whomever loosened Lopez’s snare around 2:20. :) Relax and enjoy.
