Quake mod: Blocky blood gameplay

I’ve been busy working on a “Blocky“ mod for Quake. This video shows a work in progress build of my latest blocky blood and gore system. Enemies have placeholder Ranger models, but will receive proper textures and unique models later on. When an enemy is hurt they will bleed out bloody red blocks. Enemies have a 50% chance when killed to play their death animation or tumble as a “ragdoll“ (0:10). When an enemy is gibbed from excessive damage, they will burst apart with body parts flying and chunky red blocks showering down. I plan to make these gibs unique to each enemy. I’ll be making more videos from now on as the mod progresses, see you soon!
