Rejected The Living Daylights Theme - “This Must Be The Place I Waited Years To Leave“

This is a rework of The Pet Shop Boy’s demo track simply titled “James Bond #1“. I chose to upload this instead of their demo because of its poor quality and lack of lyrics. I believe this better represents what the final version of the theme would have sounded like. This excerpt from explains why their theme may have not been used: “A bootlegged Pet Shop Boys LP in existence came complete with an instrumental track titled James Bond #1/James Bond #2. The sleeve says that it had originally been meant for The Living Daylights but was never used. Why it was not used is unclear, as it`s pretty good and Bondlike. It may possibly have been because of the group`s antipathy towards soundtrack albums (they also turned down the chance to do the music for The Lives and Loves of a She-Devil and Pretty Woman).
