Home Decor Inspiration: Historical Houses of Loviisa and Open Garden Day 2016. Home decor and garden inspiration and ideas from the Historical Houses of Loviisa and Open Garden Day events in August 2016 in Finland. In the Historical Houses of Loviisa, I especially liked Lilla Lluva and other houses that had a lot of colorful, bohemian, cute and girly DIY crafts and decor. There’s wire and twig crafts, doors and walls covered with stamps or botanical illustrations. Historical Houses of Loviisa is an event where over 100 year old, renovated houses open their doors for public to see the private homes in them and the beautiful gardens, as well. During Open Garden Day hundreds of private (and public), Finnish gardens are open for public.
