This is a simple lathe I built to help me cutting a newly glued cue tip. The video should give an idea of how it is made and used.
The little black thing that I use to mount the shaft to the drill chuck is a plastic joint protector that has been sanded to a cylindrical shape while rotating in a drill. The cutting is done with a blade of a normal carpet knife.
In general it worked quite well. What did not work was pre-shaping the front of the tip with the blade. When trying this I ruined the newly installed tip, so I’ll do that manually. Btw: no warranty for your damaged cue or anything resulting from this video.
