Valerie & The Week of Wonders - “Ships On The Clyde“ 1984.

Valerie & The Week of Wonders, were conceived at Glasgow School of Art in the early 80’s by Gerry Burns (now the leading Scottish artist Gerard M. Burns) & Brian McFie (subsequently The Big Dish & Marianne Faithfull Band) and were joined by Greg Kane (subsequently Hue & Cry) & Ewan McFie. Signed to A&M Records & Rondor Publishing, Ships On The Clyde, recorded at Palladium Studios, Edinburgh, 1984, was produced by Bobby Henry & engineered by Jon Turner & Gordon Rintoul. It was produced and directed in this video format by Jim Gillespie (“I Know What You Did Last Summer“, “D-Tox“, & “Venom“) and featured in a 1985 Old Grey Whistle Test video competition for unsigned bands, judged by Kevin Godley & Lol Crème.
