Blender was a huge step forward in almost every way.
Almost.
When it came to mesh editing though, there were certainly some areas that got worse, and a huge one was mesh editing (and booleans, which were already fixed). Mesh editing got a ton slower and they worked at fixing that. Today we see the results in Blender .
We also have some news about Cononical (Ubuntu maintainer) offering Blender LTS commercial paid support, as well as Multi-Res mesh improvements and a rundown from Ubisoft on their work with Blender on the Rabbids animation project.
