I have written this music in the style of traditional Scandinavian folk music, albeit more modern in instrumentation than what Viking music must have sounded like according to archeological finds and our current knowledge about the period. Yet it is true to form in its storytelling nature. PS. My house, where I wrote this piece of music, was built on top of the remains of the grand hall of a large Viking settlement in western Sweden. How about that!
