The Del Rubio Triplets! Smells Like Teen Spirit

In 1994, humorist Martin Lewis engaged his friends the Del Rubio Triplets to make a cameo appearance in a comedy video about an aging British Heavy-Metal God named Baz. Lewis asked the gals to learn and perform a version of the Kurt Cobain-Nirvana song “Smells Like Teen Spirit“. The skit called for the gals to be joined in mid-song by “Baz“ - in matching drag, wig and boots as a member of their ensemble. Or as Baz describes it as “the FOURTH Triplet“! The Del Rubio Triplets greatly enjoyed the experience and added the Nirvana song to their show repertoire. The VHS tape of their performance had pride of place in their home. Lewis stayed friends with the Del Rubio sisters until all three passed away. This video is posted on YouTube in loving memory of three gorgeous and fun-loving gals.
