The famous concerto is played in one of the architectural gems of the Alcazar - the beautiful Salon de Embajadores (the Ambassadors’ Hall). The square court, dating from the eleventh century, with its remarkable decorated arches and richly adorned dome, was originally the throne room of Banu Abbad. The present space, its walls covered by patterns of glazed tiles below impressive plaster ornamentation, comes from a renovation in the fourteenth century. Its cupola was carved in the time of King D
