Hymn to the Mother of God - John Tavener - Tenebrae conducted by Nigel Short

Composed in memory of his own mother, John Tavener’s “Hymn to the Mother of God“ is for double choir. Each choir sings the same music at different times, creating a suspended, almost cosmic sound.
