’We are on the path of total victory’: Netanyahu rejects Hamas’ latest ceasefire offer
Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the latest offer from Hamas for a ceasefire.
Speaking at a press conference, the Israeli prime minister said accepting the group’s demand “will only invite another massacre.”
Mr Netanyahu renewed a pledge to destroy the group, saying there was no alternative for Israel but causing the collapse of Hamas. He added that total victory was in reach “within months”.
He said: “There are not going to be any good deals unless we defeat Hamas. Even if one battalion stays - it is not the elimination of Hamas.”
