Ukraine’s National Guard destroys 112 Russian tanks, including 10 T-90 Proryv in a month

Ukraine’s National Guard has incapacitated or destroyed 112 russian tanks in the first month of 2024, amounting to an estimated total value exceeding $300 million. On February 1, Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported this on Telegram channel, according to Defense Express. “Among the destroyed combat vehicles were around ten T-90 Proryv tanks, which the russians were so proud of,“ Klymenko said. “The National Guardsmen have consistently demonstrated that there are no ’impenetrable’ targets for Ukrainian drones,“ the Interior Minister stated, providing video evidence of several successful strikes. Russian forces lost a total of 339 tanks in the past month. Since the beginning of its full-scale invasion on Feb. 24, 2022, russia has seen the loss of 6,331 tanks, as reported by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Russia can make 100 tanks a month, allowing it to keep its offensive effort at the same level despite suffering major losses, UK intelligence said. The UK Defense Ministry said that Russia’s ground forces had lost up to 365 main battle tanks since early October — meaning a loss of a bit more than 100 tanks a month.
