Artist Bio: CRAOW is an electronic music project led by musician and producer Sean Halpin, currently based in Providence, RI. The music is characterized by beat-heavy experimental industrial, transitioning into angular space jams with live vocals. The songs create a layered and stratified space, akin to a body moving through humid, dark air. While malaise might be the starting point, the music is generous, offering listeners an entry point for interpretation and a subjective experience of inhabiting a body in the dark. Originating as a 4-track home-recording project in a Tampa bedroom, CRAOW draws inspiration from artists like Suicide, EN, Kites, Russian Tsarlag, and OCS. Over the past decade, CRAOW has evolved, embarking on two solo European tours and multiple US tours. As of 2023, the project has released 4 vinyl LPs, 11 cassettes, and contributed to compilations from various labels, including Nostilevo, National Waste Product, More, Ascetic House, Mannequin, and Sacred Bones.
