Headache is a term for pain experienced in your head or upper neck. This pain spreads either by nerves in membranes inside your skull or major nerves radiating out of your brain.
There are four headache classifications: tension, migraine, cluster, and secondary.
Tension headaches are the most common and bring extreme pressure to your forehead or back of your head.
Migraines are also common causing severe throbbing pain usually behind or above your eye and sometimes foggy auras that make it hard to see.
Cluster headaches also carry migraine-like pain symptoms around your eye or temple area and are many times characterized as a series of headaches some times occurring as often as eight times in one day.
Secondary headaches usually occur as a symptom for an underlying pain condition like fibromyalgia or arthritis but are sometimes a side effect of medical treatment as well.
