Modern Biology - Old Growth Music - Fairy Creek Plants Play Music 🌱🎹

Let’s stop cutting old growth ❤️ One of my friends collected some plants and moss from Fairy Creek, an old growth forest in British Columbia that’s currently being logged. The Instruo Scion converts small changes in water activity in the plants to musical notes - and I’ve quantized to the Indian Raga of Kafi. I’m also using samples from camp on cassette - helicopters, interviews, singing - to try and bring this beautiful resistance into the piece 🌱
