Sporting Eves - Miss Ivy Cummins The Racing Motorist (1921)

THIS DIGIBETA VERSION HAS BEEN MADE FROM THE PRINT - VERSION ON TAPE *PM0764* WILL PROBABLY BE BETTER QUALITY AS TAKEN FROM THE NEGATIVE. Miss Ivy Cummins is shown preparing her car for a race. Like most Eve’s she is “deeply interested in a bonnet...“ The bonnet is open and Ivy is checking the spark plugs (?) and making other checks. She starts the car with a starting handle at the front. Whirling around “Brooklands“ is Miss Cummins hobby. Her mother is her mechanic and is seen in the car with her. Shots of the car being driven very fast - some filmed from another moving vehicle. Stationary C/U shot of the two women adjusting their gloves and scarves before setting off again. Lovely. Was item in Eve’s Film Review issue 28. FILM ID:1078.1 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
