“SQUARE PEG“ - Animation

Little square Peg is trapped in a sad loop in his world of shapes. He can’t figure out why the other squares and circles don’t seem to understand him. Little by little he loses control and can no longer exist in the torturous cycle. The song “Seven Hours With a Backseat Driver“ by Gotye has always been a personal favorite. Gotye does an excellent job building tension and anxiety over a period of time just by the sound cues in his music. I wanted to animate something to this song for forever, and every beat just seemed to match my idea for the story of this little shape man. I hope people can apply this shape man’s struggle to their own life in whatever context they seem fit. There does not need to be any specific meaning, anyone can feel however they feel about it.
