M/S of Royal family in grandstand - King George VI, Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mother), Princess Elizabeth (Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Margaret - watching some kind of display - youth rally? The Royals go on a walkabout and chat to some girl guides. Then they wave to the crowd and get into their car. Royal family arrive by car at a show ground, and watch a parade of racehorses. M/S of Field Marshal Smuts in civilian clothes. The Royals arrive in their car and are greeted by General Smuts. The King, in white naval uniform, inspects the guard of honour (South African troops).
