Our Fire-Men Nurses (1914-1918)

Our firemen nurses. Location of events unknown. Nurses train as firefighters; to replace men fighting at the front or already dead. Teams of nurses in a firefighting contest. Opens with shot of several Red Cross nurses running down street; toward cam. some of them pulling a wagon. A line of other nurses; some recuperating veterans and other officials stand alongside street watching the drill. One woman takes a tool from the wagon and pries open a covering on the street; the others attach a pump to what must be a pipe below. Rescue rehearsal. Some nurses inside a building pass a man with bandages out a window to nurses outside; using a blanket as a stretcher. Then they run carrying the injured man.
