Army Exercises (1939)

Unissued / unused material - dates and locations may be unknown / unclear. British troops undergo a pre-battle ’Baptism of Fire’ assault course at Woolacombe (?) - could be any time between 1939 - 1945. Stray shot of a man in a suit making awkward, bowing motions to a soldier on a field while a man in the background takes photographs (not sure if it belongs to this item). L/Ss of troops carrying rifles as they advance across an open beach. Soldiers lie on beach while explosive charges are detonated around them. The troops get up and walk on.
