Memorial Service & Motor Ambulance Inspection (1914-1918)

Lord Denly at Memorial Service funeral ceremony; also Motor Ambulance Inspection. Location of events unknown - probably somewhere in Britain. Opens with crowd of men on steps; with Lord Denly; an Army man; and Mayor descending. Denly with hat in his hands; making speech in front of memorial marker; engraved with names of Susannah Nutkins and grandson Tom William Nutkins; the date mentioned (laid to rest) is Aug. 3rd; 1906; so either this bit is older than the other stories around it; or this is a 10th anniversary service. (Note: film has been transferred in reverse, so writing / engraving reads backwards). Various religious and military officials stand at side and back. Tall block of stone is unveiled; a likeness of a man carved in it. Denly; a Navy officer; a priest; all going down steps. Ambulance inspection Row of ambulances with driver (?) standing by each one.
