Unissued / unused material - dates and location unclear or unknown. Surrender of occupied Brest, France. Various shots of American soldiers guarding crowd of German prisoners of war in town square. Most of surrounding buildings have been destroyed in fighting. American general is seen with two high ranking German officers. Various shots GIs with guns ready running through rubble, house to house fighting. L/S building - possibly restaurant, with name “Holteing“. More shots POWs, some stand around white flag. The captured soldiers seem quite relieved and happy. More shots captured German officers, one has a limp. Date on clapper board is 18/09/1944.
