A Vc’s Wedding (1914-1918)

A VC’s (Victoria Cross) Wedding. Location of events unknown - probably London. Military officers - presumably one is the VC holder groom - climb steps towards us, up to churchyard. Crowds watch from outside the gates. Bride (?) arrives with her bewhiskered father. She wears a fur trimmed long jacket and skirt and wide-brimmed hat. A military man holds an umbrella over her head. M/S of the newly weds walking through churchyard after the service - neither looks very happy (perhaps it’s the weather). Crowd of people watch them go by. Cut to crowds at the bottom of the steps outside the churchyard. Guests leave churchyard. Horse-drawn carriages or cabs go past church steps. FILM ID:1880.3 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
