Confiscated Japanese film showing the effects of the Atom bombing - a small portion of this footage appears in newsreel 46/64. Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Japan. Various shots of Japanese doctors dressing the wounds of Atom Bomb casualties. Pretty horrendous stuff - a tiny child’s hand, with no flesh on the fingers is carefully cleaned by a doctor. Shots of the backs of children’s heads showing hair that was blown away by the blast of the bomb. Children, obviously in pain, are examined by doctors. Shots of the ruins of Hiroshima, showing complete and utter devastation caused by the bomb. Building left among the rubble leans at an angle.
